Howard Leaving Tour, Phil from All That Remains to fill in Temporarily
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Howard Jones is leaving the band’s current headlining tour with The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Tranquility due to unforeseen circumstances. All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte will be filling in for Jones for a few shows in the interim, until the KsE guys can determine what the plan will be for the remaining tour dates, which are currently scheduled to run through the end of March.

ill be kinda disappointed if Howard doesn’t make it back before they do my concert but i think he is a great singer and he’s dedicated enough that he wouldn’t leave without a good reason.
Dude, Howard will be back. Phil is doing a great job subbing. And yall need to just enjoy the music. After all, that’s what it’s about. KsE loves their fans, regardless of what you think. And if you’re gonna stop being a fan because you think they’re doing you wrong by not releasing personal info, than you’re the ones who need to grow up.
You guys need to chill out. im sure he isnt lying. and so what if he is thats his business. i like howard but Kse was good before him and will still be good if he leaves..and face it leach is not coming back as cool as it would be. i just hope all this is worked out before my show…i dont want another disappointment like i had with slipknot…Ugh

Rumor has it that howards vocal cords are hurt, strained, For those of you who say buck up howard and get out there and sing your fk in the head. He’s doing the right thing and not totally destroying his voice. Remember Biohazard! well there bass player singer cant sing at all anymore at all. his vocal cords were destoryed is that what you want howard to do, people get a life.

First of all nobody has a voice like Howards. I am very disapointed that he will not be the front man when they come to Houston. But I am a real fan, so I will be there!Hope all is good Howard.

Great show last night in Charlotte, Phil did a great job filling in for Howard Jones and Killswitch was very greatful to the fans for sticking with them. No one left just because Howard was not there and the show was SOLD OUT. Great job Killswitch….
the Charlotte show was fucking awesome. i never thought i’d get to see KSE with a dude that was interviewed for the job to replace Jesse Leach in the first place!! and after last night i now feel they could have taken Phil & not Howard & they might even be better than they are now. Phil Labonte fucking killed it last night & he was awesome covering some old Leach songs that Howard just can’t pull off.
Uh.. while everyone is fighting over this, I just want to know if there are going to be any auditions, or what the deal is. I would love to give KSE a shot, Howard having been a great, great singer and everything, as far as I recall he isn’t the first singer. They existed, kicked ass, and made a name for themselves before him right? Maybe (no offense to the great vocalist) they can do it again without him.
Personally I hope Howard sticks it out and is okay in his personal life and is happy and healthy, and this is just something that can be worked out, but if not, please give me call guys, or drop me an email. I would absolutely love to put my ass on the line and scream my heart out for the KSE fans!
I saw the first show of the tour one week ago in Boston. Howard was singing and the whole band was awesome! I did notice that Howard was not flipping around and doing the worm like he did at other shows, so the back injury thing kind of makes sense from that standpoint. Either way, they’re awesome and I hope that he’s able to be back with them soon. Get well man!
