KILLSWITCH ENGAGE FORCED TO CANCEL TUCSON, AZ SHOW ON MARCH 4
Killswitch Engage will have no choice but to cancel their upcoming performance in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Fill in vocalist Phil Labonte of All That Remains will absolutely need this day to rest and recover his voice from what has been a very grueling three week touring schedule in which he has been asked to perform a wealth of new material. With another three weeks of touring still to go, the band realizes that it’s crucial for Phil to get this much needed day off so that he can be at full capacity the rest of the way. Labonte is pinch-hitting, so to speak, for KsE’s Howard Jones, who had to leave the tour to attend to personal matters. The band wants to thank their fans in Tucson for their understanding in this matter and wants to assure them that they will make every effort to get back into Tucson as soon as possible.

Dark Tranquillity is the best band on this tour.
The ‘Fiction’ album is 10 times better than any KSE album.
I am a KSE fan, but seriously. Without Gothenberg, KSE and Shadows fall would still be playing in a garage.
Can you imagine KSE with Chuck Billy singing? That would be sick. KSE singers are average and the first guy was horrible

well that suucks, Phil is a great singer, but he cant hit some of howards notess, BUT they still put on a great shoow, im pretty sure they’ll still playy..
I didn’t even think of Jesse, Guys get him. I gaurentee he will do it for you. He has an amazing scream 2. I love the My Last Sarendade that he did better than Howard’s! and Rise Inside. It will be like old times. If Howard is in rehab, then get better soon Howard and don’t worry it happens to the best of us. Don’t worry Killswitch is Unbeatable. They will get thorugh this!!!!!!!!
And if Jesse does come to help PLEASE come to Iowa, I want to see him do a show with you guys so bad. His Scream Is Freaking Amazing!!!!!!1

Jesse was the first person they asked. He declined because he has his own band. There’s a rumor going around saying he will perform at the NYC dates, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
Get better Phil and Howard!
Jesse Jesse Jesse! Have Jesse do a show in NYC! It would be so sick. You know you want to rock Alive or Just Breathing in its entirety and you know people want to see it! Jesse! It’s just a one-off! DO IT!
It’s ridiculous that people are complaining and suggesting that KsE should have back-up singers just in case. Sure, I’d be mad to a certain degree, but it’s only right that Phil gets to rest.
That being said; I flew from Lebanon to see you guys in Dubai. It was so ****ing worth it! Long Live Killswitch Engage, Long Live Metal(core)! \m/
Phil and the guys were fkn amazing! I was at The Wiltern last night in LA. Phil is doing KsE a huge favor by taking over Howard’s place. And he’s damn awesome!
Shit happens and it’s unfortunate. BUT WE CAN’T BE SO SELFISH, EITHER!!
Much love and support to you guys. You DO have the best fans in the world. No doubt about it.
\m/ >_< \m/
^ Who cares? I just want him back on tour.
Were all KSE fans. Were some of the best fans in the world. I just saw them in Albuquerque with Phil. Those guys are trying they’re hardest to make this tour work. They’re doing it for the fans. So everyone bitching out there. Suck it up! As far as Howard goes, I hope everything is working out for him and that he continues to rock with KSE. I’ll be waiting to see them again, hopefully in full force next time.

This sucks (cause I already had my ticket) but hey, what, as a fan, can you do?
I mean, this would have been a really cool experience to see, because of the history of the band, what with Phil being the guy who got second place to Howard when they were auditioning new singers. It would have been like a view into an alternate universe.
But oh well. I saw Phil when he was here in December with All That Remains, so I know that the rest of the country is getting a good experience. So him resting his voice is a valid reason for cancelling the date. Anything else is just bull.
